Round 3 Action

Round 3 of AFL CNE action featured 2 games in Nottingham and 1 game in Wolverhampton. England provided a bleak, cold day but the players more than made up for in with three top quality games.

The first game at Nottingham saw Manchester maintain their unbeaten record for 2012 with a hard-fought win over Sheffield. In the second game a mammoth second quarter from Nottingham blew away the Bears and left the Scorpions in second place on the ladder and with a game in hand. The Scorpions’ defence has been incredible in the first two games, conceding only 8 goals in total.

In the upset of the round Wolverhampton kept their perfect home record intact with a 6 goal win over Leeds. The Wolves have been the surprise packet of the season, now sitting in 3rd place on the ladder coming into this Saturday’s League Lightning Round at Manchester.
